with really crappy players who never fold. [/ QUOTE ] don't think this is a problem as long as they don't have a better hand than us but you might be right and checking is the better alternative in the early stages of these events. |

[/ QUOTE ] We hardly ever have the best hand here with this flop in a multiway pot. In 4/180s, theres no reason to get tricky. If you have it, value bet the hell out of em. If you don't, just let it go. In the later stages this would be much different as people do actually fold to c-bets. Early on, you gotta c/f this. |

Re: AK 3 to the flop Qhigh+one check.
I'd def make it 80 pre flop rather than 100, and check the flop into two players, esp in a $4/180.
With only one opponent c-bet ~ 2/3 the pot is fine tho. |

Re: AK 3 to the flop Qhigh+one check.
80 preflop is fine. I like a cbet here to represent AQ, KQs, QQ-AA. One guy already checked so about 230 as suggested will often win this hand, or possibly give you a free card on the turn. Notice that if you had opened for less you could cbet 2/3 of the pot much cheaper and still win the hand the same amount of the time.
With QQ-AA at low buyin, the 5X pfr in the first 2 levels is good because of the loose calls. You don't need to improve to win a showdown so you can build a bigger pot with the larger preflop raise to set up larger postflop bets. |

Re: AK 3 to the flop Qhigh+one check.
multiway I check fold...early on so many people will call 4 or 5X preflop raises so wide that you have no info at all...people will also go to the mat pretty light at this level...heads up I would make a standard 1/2 to 2/3 c bet
