Extracting the maximum CP 30
Standard 30 game at CP, main villain in this hand is Soap. He plays relatively straightforward, quite tagish imo.
Guy limps, soap raises in mlp, im in the sb with A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], and call knowing the bb and limper are coming along for the ride. Flop is K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], checked to Soap who bets, i raise, both other fold. Turn offsuit 6 i bet, soap raises. To what frequency should we be 3 betting vs calling/donking river vs calling/cr river. Take into account that he is a thinking player, not a standard CP 30 player. Another discussion is what river cards will change our plan of action. |

Re: Extracting the maximum CP 30
I always 3-bet this turn, then the villain always folds immediately, then I always drive home and think about posting the hand wondering if I could have gotten more.
I usually decide I played it right by the time I've parked my car, and fail to actually make a post about it. I'm glad you did, though, so I can see if the board confirms what I think. By the way, I might also bet the flop. |

Why did you CR the flop and shut out the other two players?

Re: Extracting the maximum CP 30
3-bet 100% of the time. This turns your hand face up but since Soap's most probable hand by far is a set, he'll call and you get the money.
If he has a weaker hand then a set, the call/donk and call/C-R plans are almost certain to win exactly 0 bets. |

I lead the flop with the nuts most of time... hope to get called / raised by hands like a set and/or pair with a flush draw. I think you make more money leading the flop when everyone thinks they have hope. Then maybe you can check raise turn... and/or pray for a raise - 3bet on the turn. As played... I think you have to donk the river to avoid it getting checked down. |

"3-bet 100% of the time."
