Ugh, Can\'t connect to PokerStars
I'm in a hotel room with my dad's laptop. The wireless internet wouldn't work, but they provided an ethernet cable and that worked. I downloaded PokerStars and I can't get past the "Connecting..." screen. I looked at Network Status and all of the were "very good". Anyone have any idea why this isn't working?

Re: Ugh, Can\'t connect to PokerStars
I had a similar problem when I moved recently. In my case I needed to switch the TCP port I was using to connect.
To do this go to the file USER.INI, located in the PokerStars folder you have saved on your computer (probably in Program Files). Make sure you do not have PokerStars running. Load USER.INI into Notepad. If you do not see a [Connect] section, add one as follows: [Connect] userport=443 This changes the TCP port from the default (which is being blocked by your ISP) to the secondary (443). Save the file, and you should be good to go. |

Re: Ugh, Can\'t connect to PokerStars
I found a file called user, not sure about the .ini extension. Double clicked it and it came up in notepad. I added
[connect] userport=443 at the end. Clicked save. Still have the same problem unfortunately. |
