5-10 @ Foxwoods: 2 hands
5-10 loose game at Foxwoods.
Hand 1 I am in MP with TcTs. One limper to me, I raise, button calls 2 cold (fairly loose player). BB calls, limper calls. 4 to the flop for 4 BB Flop: 8c4h3s Checked to me, I bet, button raises, other 2 limpers fold, I 3-bet, he calls. 2 to the turn for 7BB Turn: 8d(8c4h3s) I bet, he calls. 2 to the river for 9BB River: 8s(8d8c4h3s) Your action? Hand 2 I am 1 from the CO with AcQs. No reads as I have changed tables from the must move. Also, this is a kill pot, so we are playing 10-20 here. I open raise, CO, button, SB and BB call. 5 players to the flop for 5BB Flop: Qd6h2c Checked to me, I bet, button calls, everyone else folds. 2 to the turn for 6BB Turn: Kd (Qd6h2c) I bet, he calls. 2 to the river for 8BB. River: 8c (KdQd6h2c) Your action? Please feel free to add any comments on the other streets on both hands as well. Thanks for your help guys. Joe |

Re: 5-10 @ Foxwoods: 2 hands
I think you have played both hands well to this point. I would value bet both of these rivers. In both I think there are plenty of worse hands that will call. If you are behind I think they will bet anyway if you check, and if you are ahead I think they will check through worse holdings, not value betting or bluffing enough to encourage a check from you. If you get raised? I'm not sure about SS live games, but I think you should call in the first hand, and possibly fold in the second hand.

Where's the other half of the table But which one of these callers was on the kill? [ QUOTE ] Flop: Qd6h2c Checked to me, I bet, button calls, everyone else folds. 2 to the turn for 6BB Turn: Kd (Qd6h2c) I bet, he calls. 2 to the river for 8BB. River: 8c (KdQd6h2c) Your action? [/ QUOTE ] Because you posted the hand, I suspect that you might be behind here. But he hasn't given any indication that you are beat. So Value Bet anyway. A lot of stronger hands won't raise and a lot of weak hands will call here. |

bet both rivers. you'll win more often than you lose.

Re: 5-10 @ Foxwoods: 2 hands
bet both rivers for value. in hand 1, an 8 is very unlikely as it usually raises the turn, and given the FH on board you will get calls from a 3, 4 or smaller PP. similar logic in hand 2, a K mostly raises the turn. it's a kill pot, you will get called down lighter than usual b/c of the pot size.

Re: 5-10 @ Foxwoods: 2 hands
hey Joe,
i would definitely bet both rivers. since we don't have reads that villains are aggressive, the question is whether it's a bet/call or bet/fold(or even bet/3bet in the first hand). since i don't want to face a cap in hand one, i'm bet/calling. since i some busted draws are possible in hand two and it's an unknown, i'm bet/calling. good luck. |

Re: 5-10 @ Foxwoods: 2 hands
HAND #1:
Flop - Good. Did you thank him for getting the other folks out for you with his raise? Turn - Looks good. No way I am not betting HU when checked to after I 3 bet the flop. River - Bet. If you hand the best hand going into the RIVER you have the best hand now. Let him call his AK, AQ, smaller PP etc. HAND #2: Flop - Looks good. Turn - Looks good. Same as above. Put in the last bet on previous round HU, checked to so bet it again. River - Bet this out also. If you had the best hand at the Turn chances are you still do. I doubt you will get raised here very often. Good value bets on both hands, IMO. See you at the 'Woods, Mygtar |

Whats up Joe U?
Did you have any Yankee paraphernalia on? I bet both rivers. But I tend to spew sometimes |
