Re: Basic pre flop Q for JTs
ok, how many players do we need to make JTs profitable, playing in position against a tight opener?

Re: Basic pre flop Q for JTs
easy call. reraising is retarded. I would fold this if I was in MPish and there was a tag open raise and one coldcaller but not two.

Re: Basic pre flop Q for JTs
this can be tough to play, so if you are not real comfy playing postflop i don't think that you pass on much by folding here. i'd probably call.

Re: Basic pre flop Q for JTs
This is an easy call.
We have great position in a big multiway pot with a hand that plays great in this situation. I think 2 callers is the minimum needed to call though. Hell the Button, SB and BB may call as well which would be awesome. Only bad scenario is if you have a Maniac behind you who makes it three bets because then you could get caught for a capped 5 preflop if it that type of game. |

I'll tell you a little secret. You can reraise this or call. Whatever you feel like.

don't get me wrong. this is a clear call PF. [/ QUOTE ] I disagree... I know I'm not nearly as good at limit hold'em as 90% of the players that post on this forum... However, here is my reasoning... I've seen the databases of two very respected Party Poker players who only played limit. (I'm not going to go into who they are because a. they wouldn't want me divulging that information and b. they constantly found ways to change their screen name to avoid PT detection, so I don't know how much information is available on them anyways) Anyways... I saw their PT stats for over 100,000 hands each. after analysis of their hands and style of play, they both said they eliminated 10J from their play unless it was OPTIMUM situations... like folded to them and they could raise the CO or Button and they obviously had steal equity. Both of them, following what seems to be the fallacy of this thread, were surprised that 10J was not a more profitable hand, and saw their profits go up once the eliminated plays like cold-calling 2 with 10J. |
