standard spot (handrange analysis)tm
Alright, basic spot, 6 handed game utg raises, we are in the small blind. utg raises 15% of his hands preflop to 4 bb and c-bets 100% of the flops.
We put utg on: 22-aa:7% ak-a10, kq, kj:8% We call the raise on the sb with 9% and everyone else folds: our range 22-aa 7% and ak,aq 2% the flop comes 49j rainbow We check/call: ? We check/fold: ? We bet: ? |

Re: standard spot (handrange analysis)tm
But we can see our own cards right? Why do we have to work with a range for our own cards?

Re: standard spot (handrange analysis)tm
you dont have to do the same thing with every hand in the range, that would be totally pointless.
the answers should look like this: check/call: 88,1010 (1/9) check/raise: qq,kk,aa (1.5/9) check/fold:: 22,33,55,66,77 (3/9) bet: 44,99,jj,ak,aq (3/9) it actually doesnt add up to 9 because i had to discount the probablity of the pairs by 0.5 to get to the correct relation to the other hands. |

Re: standard spot (handrange analysis)tm
do you mean splitting our ranges up, like this:
equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 39.237% 38.75% 00.49% 1486832 18792.00 { 99-22 } Hand 1: 60.763% 60.27% 00.49% 2312824 18792.00 { 22+, KJs+, KJo+ } equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 70.969% 70.42% 00.55% 1627111 12741.00 { TT+ } Hand 1: 29.031% 28.48% 00.55% 658067 12741.00 { 22+, KJs+, KJo+ } equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 36.957% 34.78% 02.18% 1727128 108115.50 { AQs+, KJs+, AQo+, KJo+ } Hand 1: 63.043% 60.87% 02.18% 3022481 108115.50 { 22+, KJs+, KJo+ } if so, i quite like this idea, as it gives you a deeper understanding of what to do with certain groups of hands. i doubt this will catch on though, as it seems like a lot of effort. i think people would rather know there hand and apply ranges to the villain. |

[ QUOTE ]
But we can see our own cards right? Why do we have to work with a range for our own cards? [/ QUOTE ] we want to analyse multiple hands at once, thats why we work with the range. |
