Some Omaha 0.25 / 0.50 Hands
Hi, im playing Omaha for some days and doing well. But there were are couple of hands, that made me feel insecure. I hope you can give me some thoughts of them:
Hand 1: 9 players Converter Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is CO with :td :4h :ad :5c UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 folds, Hero calls, 2 folds, 2 folds, BB checks. Flop: :8d :9d :tc ($2.75, 5 players) BB checks, UTG+1 bets $2.62, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, Hero calls, BB folds. Turn: :th ($10.61, 3 players) UTG+1 bets $10.08, MP1 calls, Hero calls. River: :4s ($40.85, 3 players) UTG+1 bets $21, MP1 calls, Hero raises all-in $53.18, UTG+1 calls all-in $23.25, MP1 calls all-in $17.31. Uncalled bets: $8.93 returned to Hero. Results: Final pot: $161.72 Im very sure that the betting player just have a straight. I was not sure about the calling player, but decided to push all In. Is this a very bad move or this ok? Hand 2: Party Poker Pot Limit Omaha Ring game Blinds: $0.25/$0.50 9 players Converter Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is CO with :kc :as :qs :9s UTG calls, UTG+1 raises to $2.75, 3 folds, Hero calls, Button folds, SB calls, BB folds, UTG calls. Flop: :2s :jd :ts ($11.5, 4 players) SB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $11.17, SB folds, UTG raises all-in $42.9, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls. Turn: :3s ($97.3, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $97.3) River: :4c ($97.3, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $97.3) Results: Final pot: $97.3 Is it ok to play the draw (straight and flush) aggressive on the flop and call the all in raise? Hand 3: Party Poker Pot Limit Omaha Ring game Blinds: $0.25/$0.50 6 players Converter Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG with :9d :tc :8d :ad Hero calls, UTG+1 calls, 2 folds, SB calls, BB raises to $2.5, Hero calls, UTG+1 folds, SB calls. Flop: :kd :4d :qd ($8, 3 players) SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $7.6, SB folds, BB calls. Turn: :3h ($23.2, 2 players) BB checks, Hero bets $22.04, BB raises all-in $27.18, Hero calls. River: :7h ($77.56, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $77.56) Results: Final pot: $77.56 This hand started a discussion on the table. Some people said, that it is stupid to bet the pot when you have the nuts. I answered that i am protcting my hand against a fullhouse draw. Correct? |

i fold preflop. but at the river only T9xx and T8xx beat you. i get my money in. #2 nfd + monster straight wrap is enough to get it all in. well played. #3 if they call psbs, it is doesn't seems to be that stupid to pot it when you have the nuts. charge whatever you think will maximize your winnings (and protect your hand). |

[/ QUOTE ] Partly, and because if people think that you won't pot it with the nuts, it seems like a pretty good thing to do when you have it. People only seem to bet less than pot at very low limits. |
