Default Another \"What should I do?\" (warning: its long)

I had to suck up my pride to make this post so take it easy on me.

When I turned 18 I deposited my first $60 into Pacific Poker. By the end of the week I had built it over $1600 in SnGs, and proceeded at a similar rate through the start of my college career. I took breaks as I was getting burnt out but spent quite a bit of money expecting to continue my baller income (I hadn't held an actual job except for resume purposes).

I played up to $1000 SnGs (mostly $200), up to 75/150 limit (mostly 30/60), and up to 5/10 NL. I did well in MTTs and SnGs, I think I sucked at limit cash games but was carried by variance.

Since I haven't had an income I'm obviously just draining my bank account. The problem is that I had been on a long break already, but ever since the legislation that [censored] Americans passed, I haven't really been able to get started again on any sites. I have roughly enough money set aside to last me until I graduate undergrad, but this is because I don't like to spend money on much besides food while I have no income.

Since I hadn't been playing online, my poker playing has been almost solely cash games in casinos and such over the past few years. I've made money very consistently in live games, and pretty much financed my whole summer of bumming out through a "home casino" that was in town.

I want to get started again in cash games on PokerStars because I do not like their tournament format and I have been playing solely cash games for a few years. I have purchased Poker Tracker and PAHUD, but I have minimal experience using them.

I've reloaded $1300 in 2 transactions and bombed them away playing at stakes slightly beyond my "bank roll" should withstand. However, I don't feel it was due to a cause beyond variance.

I want to start making money again but I don't have any interest in a grunt job so I am looking for some tips on what I need to work on. I am considering looking into coaching.

My stats for 6 max 200 NL on PT over 500 hands:

VP$IP: 35.94 (I think this is actually slightly lower over a bigger sample)

VP$SB: 53.92

Folded SB to steal: 77.78

Folded BB to steal: 60.47 (this is a problem?)

Att. To Steal Blinds: 37.23 (I have raise first in 27.17 from button, 16.87 from CO... I need to do this more from CO?)

PF AF: 0.85
Flop AF: 2.74
Turn AF: 2.75
River AF: 6.00 (I think this jumped cuz I [censored] up a big bluff)
Total AF: 1.34

Any tips, insight, or flames [img]/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img] are appreciated.

Ummm ok I might begin the flaming with a polite...

"Don't just post stats and expect people to be able to tell you what to do. Post some hands, participate in some hand discussion and read all the [censored] in the sticky."

What's your PFR? Cannot you just post PT screenshots?

Anyway, your preflop stats are loose passive enough to make me think you could be on a few buddy lists.

I've been posting here pretty regularly after the past couple months. I'm confident with my ability to play post flop, but I can't really post 200 hands and ask if my preflop looks good.

Whoops, PFR is 17.87. I figured just typing out the stats would be faster than learning to post a screen shot.

You're way too passive. 1.3 AF is very low. You're missing tons of value bets (value betting well is the single most important thing in SSNL) and probably don't c-bet or double barrel enough. Considering how passive you are, playing 40% of your hands out of the BB is a massive leak.

You should probably get a Cardrunners membership and watch a whole bunch of videos before you start spending $100/hour plus on coaching, tbh it looks like you have some very fundamental leaks to fix before it makes sense to start shelling out that kind of dough.

I'll look into cardrunners, thanks.

This was a typo because I'm half asleep. I meant to say that I felt it was a cause beyond variance, hence why I made this thread. Too late for me to edit it.
