Default Call down with Q hi in very small pot

Villain is 54/8.7/2

I dont bet the flop cause I think him checking is suspicious, I rather take free card. Then he quickly pops the turn. I would expect him to bet anything here, and also the speed of his click gave it a bluff feel.

This doesn't make sense to me. His flop check means that he has something, but his turn bet means he's bluffing?

Your hand sucks, and the pot is very very small just fold the turn.

why is his flop check suspicious ? who knows what he's trying to do here, but does it even matter ? you have nothing and the pot is tiny so just let it go on the turn. If he wants to put in 1BB to win 1BB with nothing then more fool him.

Most guys as aggressive as him usually bet the flop if they have nothing.

The reason I called down was because my read was telling me he's more likely bluffing. Not betting flop prob meant pair of K or better or nothing. I didnt bet the flop JUST because I thought his check meant he had something but also that he would call or raise it with nothing. I felt very certain at the time even though I dont know him very well, but the small size pot and the Q hi made me post it.

This is a good point, IF im putting any money in with this hand atall then its on the flop after he checks to me but having checked behind i'd fold this UI for sure the pots just way too small.

Interesting point.
I do that too, and I get a fold a huge % of time.

I'd like to know your guess about the % of small stakes player doing this move ?
In other words, what credibility has a bet from the BB after a SB check on the flop ?

Going back to the hand, I would bet the flop here.
And what I'd find suspicious would be just him calling my flop bet. => c/f turn & river. Pot is too small.
