Like Renton said, with 50 bets, stack off here every single time.

I called. Thankfully, tight local pro folded top 2. Once he did, I was getting 5:1 on a 3:1 shot. Turn was a blank, but the river was a ten. NFL showed Q9 for the nuts on the flop. Tight local pro cursed that dang ten!

[/ QUOTE ]

um, why would you want him to fold? by folding your odds got worse...and you're being results oriented. i would never want top two to fold to my set lol.

am i missing something?

Because now the two remaining tens and two remaining jacks our outs for the hero instead of villian2...

If he had called hero would be drawing to a 1 outer basically, then might pick up some more outs on the turn.

Yes. If NFL has a straight (which is certainly in his range and exactly what he had), I need to boat up to win. Bottom set v. Top 2 v. straight means bottom set has max 1 out on the turn and max 4 outs on the river = ~10% equity. If top 2 folds, now bottom set v. straight has 5 outs on turn and 8 outs on river = ~26% equity.

Getting 5:1 on the call, 1 situation is a fold and the other is a call.

ok, i didn't see stack sizes. i thought you covered everybody, and hence could build a huge sidepot and make off regardless if you were drawing thin to the straight or not.

folding there would just be awful, especially if local pro is telling the truth.

Preflop is ok, flop lead is good.

IDK how you could even consider NOT putting in your last $500.
