Default Top 2 pair versus maniac. Live game

1/2 Pot Limit Live game

Players are very loose, especially preflop.

Hero has a TAG image.

Description of villain: Maniac. He raises before the flop often, he never once folded before the flop that I saw even if there was a raise and re-raise before him. He nearly always calls or raises the flop; if everyone is weak he'll try to steal the pot. He occasionally runs big bluffs. He occasionally calls all the way to the river with a crappy pair. If he has any type of draw he'll stay in till the river. Obviously he gets a lot of action when he hits his hand as no one can put him on a decent hand.

Previous hand with villain:
Hero is in the big blind with QJsuited. He has 170, villain covers.
5 limpers including villain on the dealer button. 10 in pot. Hero checks.
Flop comes T 9 5.
Hero bets 10. Everyone folds except villain who calls.
Turn is a 2. Rainbow.
Hero bets 30. Villain calls.
River is a K. Hero checks. Villian bets 90, Hero goes allin for 130. Villain calls and turns over 92.
My straight beats his 2 pair.

On to the hand.
Villain has 270, Hero has 330.

Heros cards: As Tc

Villian limps. Hero in medium position limps, another limper, blinds check.

Flop (10): Td 7d 3c

Villain bets 10. Hero raises to 30, everyone else folds. Villain calls.

Turn (70): Ad.

Villain checks. Hero checks.

River (70): 2s.

Villain checks. Hero?

I probably bet about 30 here, and back off to a big reraise.

If Villian is a real maniac, do we really want to give him the chance to bluff, representing a flush?

Thanks for the responses. Both a blocking bet of 30 and checking down are good lines. Better than mine which was to bet the pot.

I guess this hand came down to my read of the villain. Against a standard TAG I should bet maybe half pot and fold to a raise. Against a more tricky TAG I may of just checked.

I saw this guy as someone who was donating money around the table. I put him on air, one pair, 2 pair or the flush. I thought he could call me even with one pair. And I thought that he wouldn't of checked a second time with the flush after getting no action on the turn.

I didn't want to bet small in case he saw it as weakness and raised, and also because I thought he might pay off the larger bet. So.

Villain checks. Hero bets 70. Villain reraises to 240.

I now think he has the flush but it costs hero 160 to call with 370 in the pot. Against a maniac who could have a smaller two pair or have air in this spot.

Hero?
