Default What\'s an optimal online computer setup?

I've recently been investing more in my poker computer. I have a Dell Dimension 5150 with standard features plus 2 gigs of RAM (2.5 total) and a $150 video card to support both my monitors (22"x17" widescreen and a 17"x17"). I use the computer only for poker. The problem is, it's not running that well and it frequently jumps up to using 100% of available resources with nothing but FTP open (normally 6-8 tables) and PT/PokerAceHUD, which slows everything down and makes it more difficult to 8 table. I have defragmented it, and I store all of my hand history files and music on an external hard drive, leaving me with about 60 gigs of free space on my computer. I run a few maintenance programs from time to time, but I do not have any spyware protection (my security expired and I don't want to renew it). I don't download anything or use the internet much. Anyone have any suggestions?
