That'd be me. Except I use my image and make one hilariously spewy play a session in a big pot that never gets looked up and gets $$$.

FGators almost seems like he does the opposite and pretty much invites people to take shots at him. At this point, he couldn't even do what you're suggesting, because he gets looked up too often for sheer comedy value.

I've played something like 2500 hands against FGators this month. He's the only reg that I've noticed whose c-bet flop number is less than 50%. Most regs are around 70-80 and some are >90. FGators just leaves so much money out there by not c-betting that it can't be outweighed by the times that he gets his money in as a 60/40 favorite.

Something that FGators said in this thread is very telling... it was something like, getting your money in good is the sign of all great players. This is simply not true, IMO. Think about the first Super System book, Brunson says something along the lines of, when all the money goes in the pot, i'm usually taking the worst of it but that's outweighed by all the pots i've been picking up all night by playing aggressively.

If you're aggressive with c-bets, you're gonna get floated and you're gonna get raised with air and you're gonna have to make some difficult poker decisions. So sometimes against certain opponents you'll have to 3bet the flop with middle pair or whatever; or making a big c-bet on the turn after c-betting the flop... make moves that take advantage of all the dumb decisions that our opponents make postflop.

FGators plays with a style that minimizes the number of tough decisions that he has to make, instead of maximizing his expectation. He doesn't take advantage of his opponent's mistakes because he only value-bets with very strong hands. He doesn't exploit his opponents tendencies to stupidly play back at you on the flop or the tendency to call down with a very weak hand (like worse than tptk).
