Gammons is only 62!? WOWOWOW. I would have thought he was around 68 by now.

And yeah, I don't notice much of a difference. He's always stuttered, but this year he's just having a bit of a difficult time with his annunciation.

If you ever can't understand what he said, it was something about Boston or A-Rod. That's all you need to know.

he speaks well, unlike the other people who are equally dumb AND speak poorly (eduardo perez, etc).

lol, no sh*t huh? The guy always looks like he just saw a ghost, and he's trying to re-create the situation. "It...I ...opened the pantry....OPS is.... .680...Casper....Homerun....yay baseball."

I'm watching the trade deadline special on ESPN right and I do see that Gammons is stumbling slightly, but it doesn't seem much different than normal. My guess is that he needs to fit in what he's saying into a very small time frame so they can move on to the next discussion, something that would make it hard for him not to trip over his tongue. You can kind of just see that there is a ton of info in his head he wants to get out and his mouth won't move fast enough.

I still like him, though.

He is a writer, not a broadcaster. He gets paid for what he knows, not they way he delivers it.

And I think he does a good job delivering it. Now, what about the other guys who are apparently paid for how they deliver, not what they know. Cause those guys can't do either.
