I went NL----> limit to clear a boni on stars.
basically, clearing @ NL25 takes forever, and clearing at 1/2 is much more efficient.

Well, it was amazing how well I adjusted. I mean in NL, I am constantly in the situation where I am "he dosnt have it, but I'm to chicken to call". Well in limit, that was not the case. I was making great reads, and playing very well.

I guess this is a brag (that i didnt suck at lim). I dont really play limit, unless I am tilting and feel like capping each street or clearing a slow boni.

It might help to make a post in the various NL no content threads that this forum exists. I only randomly wandered across it in the sidebar.

Here is an example of how bad us limidonks can suck (or maybe just myself)...

I treated this hand just like a limit blind battle.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

MP2 ($59.90)
MP3 ($176.90)
CO ($63)
Button ($104.15)
SB ($95.90)
Hero ($143.75)
UTG ($106.85)
UTG+1 ($136.30)
MP1 ($100)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
7 folds, SB completes, Hero raises to $4, SB calls $3.

Flop: ($8) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $6, SB raises to $12, Hero calls $6.

Turn: ($32) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets $14, Hero calls $14.

River: ($60) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets $20, Hero calls $20.

Final Pot: $100

Results in white below:
SB has As Ac (one pair, aces).
Hero has Kd 8c (one pair, eights).
Outcome: SB wins $100.

Default BRAG: I think I\'m finally getting this game.

I had a horrid limit downswing in August, at the end of which I decided I really had to try to learn NL, at which I had been unsuccessful for some time.

I rebuilt my demolished bankroll by nitting about at NL25 until I felt confident (and bank-rolled) to try my hand at NL50 again.

Since then (August 22) I've been running totally nucular (TM GWB):

NB: I'm also halfway thru Professional No-Limit, which is already influencing my game, though I think that finally understanding the idea of pot size control was more important than anything else.

Default Tinfoil hats on standbay! PokerTracker.xom hacked!

Hello,

Hopefully needless paranoia, but I've already posted across the NL forums, figure I shouldn't leave you limit people unaware

Default Finished PNL

Wowza... was travelling across the country today and I stuck PNL in my bag before I left. I had gotten caught up in some other stuff and had neglected my reading, but still played here and there a bit.

Talk about paradigm shift... the SPR stuff is mind blowing.

I haven't had my made flushes called so often since the Party $1/$2 Beginners tables.
