Is the HU tourney idea dead? I'd be down for a small buy-in one on Stars (something like $100).

It got moved to HSNL and they are talking between $2k - $5k buyin.

I'm all for having a smaller one on stars, would definitely be in.

I've wrote stars about 5 times so far about getting the private matches set up. They gave my account an option to create my own private sngs, but its not what we want. I asked for deepstack (200-300bb) HU PLO SNGs with no escalating blinds and got a reply of "That structure isn't available, we'll foward it to our ideas department."

I wrote back, twice since then asking what sort of options we have for HU PLO SNGs as far as structure goes. I got pretty heated when they said they'll forward it to the "ideas department" as thats the typical response anyone gets who requests HU cash games. The ideas department seems like an empty office they just pile up requests in. Anyways, I asked to speak to someone from the ideas department or asked for an email address and am waiting on their response.

I also asked why they could create the "special HU matches" being used in the HSNL HU MTT but can't transfer that same exact sturcture over to a HU PLO match. This is very frustrating.

Well, if we were going to do our own small buy-in tourney, I don't think we'd need that kind of structure anyway. I think something like 100bb with no escalating blinds or even the typical structure best 2 out of 3 would be plenty.

Also, I'd think that the reason that Stars doesn't want to have deep stack HU with no escalating blinds like that is that it would cut way down on the people who like to play cash games HU (since there would be lower rake) and might make it harder to get games started since a lot of tables end up starting because people try to play HU and then others leech on as soon as someone else joins.

Has there been any thoughts about doing this through straight cash on FTP? If the match doesn't last too long the rake shouldn't be too much of a killer. I guess someone would have to keep track of all the matches or post results here.
I'm new here but would love to play something like this.
