Default cooking a steak

im making a steak rite now.
I have garlic beinng smoked in the BBQ before i put the steak in.

i allready put some nice cajon forplay on it which is a spice rub
and im marrinating it in carribian steak sauce. My question is: should i put butter on the steak to enhance the flavor while BBQ'ing? wat are some tips on steak cooking

1. Go back to teh store and buy a new steak

2. Get grill up to a very hot temp 6 to 800 degrees

3. rub steak with olive oil (optional), salt and pepper to taste

4. Stick steak on for 3 minutes

5. flip, and let sit for another 3 minutes

6. take steak off put on plate, cover plate with foil, let sit for 10 minutes

7. serve



you have way too much going on with your meat, steak is great becuase it is simple (unless you bought a tough cut?).

its actualy a nice cut of steak i got at wegmans. I just wanted to make it somptin a lil more exotic then what i typicaly use.

nothings wrong with a cajun ribeye, those things are great at arnie mortons, dont over cook it, drink alcohol.

Ya, if you like a cajun rub, its cool, but dont marinade it and rub it, its too much, a rub should be enough. I wouldnt put any butter on their either, you have enough going on.

you probably over seasoned it, no big deal, itll be good tommorrow when you make a steak sandwich, carry on.
