Re: KQo in 3bet pot
based on our equity against this range novles gave, we get fe as follows:
if 0<=x<=100, x= villain's call frequency. x[($286*.35)-($184*.65)] + (1-x)(132) x[-20] + 132 - 132x = 0 132 = 152x x= 0.868 = ~0.87 this implies villain needs to fold (1-x) = ~0.13, 13% of the time to break even. |

Re: KQo in 3bet pot
We have FE here for sure. I have seen sooo many players minraise a cbet in a rr pot as way of bluffing b/c its so cheap and b/c we have air pretty often due to 3betting light

Does the minraise mean a monster trying to get paid off, or air trying to get us off our hand at a cheap price? I've seen this move used a couple times on me, but I've never had a hand I could continue with until now. I'd like to hear some more responses on this topic before I post results. |

[ QUOTE ]
When we shove, he calls and we win, we get $286. When we shove, he calls and we lose, we lose $184. When we shove and he folds, we get $132. Assuming a range of: Text results appended to pokerstove.txt 38,610 games 0.015 secs 2,574,000 games/sec Board: Ts Jd 3h Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 35.359% 35.05% 00.31% 13534 118.00 { KsQc } Hand 1: 64.641% 64.34% 00.31% 24840 118.00 { TT+, 33, AJs, KJs, QJs, JTs, AJo } --- When he calls, we have an EV of -$20 = ($286*.35)-($184*.65). When he folds, we have an EV of $132. I don't know if there's an easy way to solve for x, but you can get pretty close just by taking 20/132. So if he folds about 15% of the time and his this call range, a push is nuetral. [/ QUOTE ] This is really cool that he hardly has to fold at all to make it an even push. Although, I think you can take out KJ and QJ and add in some air or something. Thanks for figuring this stuff out, I really need to pokerstove more ... |

Re: KQo in 3bet pot
Guess there isn't much more to say on this... I ended up shoving, and he snapcalled with JJ, I didn't improve.
