Default NL25 JJ gets limp-reraised - Flop Action?

Villain is 28/15/5 - Hadn't seen him limp reraising before.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

MP ($53.10)
CO ($24.10)
Button ($15.10)
SB ($40.20)
Hero ($51.85)
UTG ($28.80)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
UTG calls $0.25, MP calls $0.25, 3 folds, Hero raises to $1.35, UTG raises to $3, MP folds, Hero calls $1.65.

Flop: ($6.35) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $7.75, Hero ???

Wierd situation, the villain pots the flop after a limp re-raise?

His postflop aggro is pretty strong, i might consider a check raise all in. But if i were you I wouldnt check after youve cold called preflop, bet it out, see where your at.

Interested to see what everyone else says here..

In my experience this is a fold, especially if you hadn't seen him do anything stupid before.

Each time I make this limp-reraise UTG, I have AA or KK or AK.
Sometimes I try to steal the pot from an aggro who raises too much.

But I really think he has an overpair.

Fold on the flop.

It is important to know something about the table.
Did they fold to a lot of raises preflop? Was it hard to get action preflop? If the table was tight preflop, villain has a big hand imo. Otherwise you could raise here. His AF is pretty high though.

not sure if i would fold - doesn't seem like he wants a call on this shoddy flop, perhaps he just wants to take it down with AK...

I would have bet the flop and folded to a raise, but, as played, i might shove here.

Table was average. Had one very tight player (10/3) in the SB (in this ahnd) and the button was like 75/8. I took some pots preflop down, but I had also no problem in seeing a flop after raising. So I would answer both questions with "no".

prflop raise is only 15 %, a limp reraise i think you can iso him to top 5% of hands right there-- looks IMO like hes trying to trap you-- that line is just too odd for me to believe my jacks are good, ak plays this way from a good player, but not many players at nl25 have the ability to play postflop so i just muck em and wait for a better spot to stack
