This strikes me as pretty significant since TPTK hands (AK-AJ, possibly KQ) are the ones we most frequently raise so our most standard recurring situation is one that is explictly identified as most akward with reagard to SPR.

Do we have to make fundamental changes about our approach to this game? Does anyone have any ideas regarding this situation?

Hi all,

Triggerle invited me to this thread. I don't think I can do the arguments justice here, but we will have a study group for PNL1 and then everything's fair game. I do think that current thinking for preflop raising does not sufficiently take into account implied odds or effective odds.

LOVE the AK comments. Sunny and I see AK as a hand group unto itself (not sure about Ed's current thinking). It is #3 or #4 for me (AA > KK > QQ fighting with AK) and for a long while was I beleive #2 for Sunny (AA> AK > KK).
