Is it easier to turn pro at Turning Stone??
I did this search online and I don't know if it's a fluke, but for some reason Turning Stone came up several times. How "young guns" turned pro playing there. I read I could consistently beat the 20/40 or 30/60 that's how I was able to become pro. If i'm not mistaken Commerce Casino is the biggest card room so I would think that it would be the one pumping out new pros. Is it because Commerce has stiffer competition or just a fluke that Turning Stone came out on the Google search??
Is there such thing as an "easier casino"? If so at what levels? Where is your favorite casino? |

Re: Is it easier to turn pro at Turning Stone??
The reason I asked the question is because sometimes when i'm on a table I hear side chatter... like I go to that casino to build my bankroll, but come here to improve my game. The other casino is mostly all retired old people who have too much money and are willing to give it away. Never been to Turning Stone do don't know.
Also, in magazine articles you read pros like ivey say I wouldn't play in the high stakes at hustlers if I knew Larry Flint (whale) would not be there. |

I do know that somehow the legal poker age at Turning Stone is 18....maybe the 3 year head start has something to do with it? Just a theory, of course it could just be coincidence as well.

Re: Is it easier to turn pro at Turning Stone??
Turning Stone almost never IDs (sorry if this is pushing the rules, but it is true), thus you have a large amount of inexperienced players at the tables. Being that it is legally 18 and up, even most of the players around 18 tend to be inexperienced.
I believe that the tables for smaller stakes tend to be significantly worse than other places. I haven't played the higher stakes but I can't imagine why it would be much easier aside from players moving up due to good runs off the noobs. |
