Why not just call. You didnt have to raise. You caused the action by the raise there.

This thread is so lol. Bigjim has totally owned this thread, and Catcher why don't you "show your work?" Like when I was in math class in high school often times I'd have to show how I got my answers by showing what numbers / formulas I used. I'd suggest you do the same, because "well it can't be that bad!" just isn't going to cut it man. Show some numbers or some reasonable logic to show that a turn call is profitable, or hell even "not that bad." Please.

Preflop is ok but only if we are actually doing this with a real range and not doing what everyone in the world actually does: limp bad hands raise good hands.

The line is the rest of the hand is just terrible. Even flop, there is absolutely no way I am limp calling here 200 BBs deep with this hand OOP versus a semi-thinking opponent. I am not going to c/c Ax so once I make this call I am sure he's got me on a flush or straight draw. I think lead or c/r are both fine plays here. But I am doing one or the other most of the time b/c that is the same thing I am doing with all my other hands that hit this board.

You gave away your hand on the flop. Called w/bad outs and dirty outs on the turn. c/red a river for value and he shoves and now you are wondering what to do?

idk if you guys have played with pooruser or not but basesd on hands ive seen him play, and from playin with him he is def capable of 3 bet shoving the river with air. Do i think he is doin it on this given occasion, probably not.

Catcher i think this is a fold, but also in defense of catcher i think pooruser is crazy sometimes and might call a riverbet on like a 7o river with K high or some pair because he is sick like that.

Preflop, meh.
Flop, I like a c/r more but whatever.
Turn seems bad.
I think river is a fold. When I played pooruser he made a ton of unorthodox plays and has an interesting style. I just doubt he is bluffing here after you raised so large and he still pushes. Kind of a sick line by him. I want pooruser to come on AIM so I can see what he had! PM me results pls catcher.

just found your comments pretty amusing and/or out of line.

I can 100% relate.

BigJim absolutely owned this thread. And I feel a little dumber for reading the rest of it.

Turn is beyond gross and trying to defend/justify it only makes it worse.

on the flop I would probably lead most of the time and check-raise sometimes, I don't really like a call. If I did call the flop though I would probably lead the turn or c/r the turn I think the call is terrible. On the river were you planning to c/c or c/r before he made the $200 bet?

also I think pooruser is like never bluffing the river here against you. It would be a sick/interesting bluff to make against a player, that would be more likely to fold. PoorUser does not expect you to make a big fold here, and it looks like he is taking you to value town. Especially after you made a large river checkraise, he would have to pretty ballsy to not have your hand beat so its a pretty easy fold IMO.

edit: know results now!
