There are dozens of threads on this topic in the Internet Gambling and Legislation forums (aka you shouldn't start a new one).

Anyhow, if you file as a professional you can net your wins and loses and you can deduct expenses. See a knowledgable tax prepairer for details.

because those terms are often not fully defined...


im just asking about if you have no job other than poker... tax wise, what do you do..

you still have to pay taxes to your county in almost all countries that tax poker the US you do for sure

Any serious answers. I also live in the US and will soon be playing full time. I will also be playing full time in 08, with no other source of income.

How do others file, what do they use to compute winnings and losess. What is a "session", how do you keep track of it all?
