I dont see what he could've possible been in that hand with that KK is beating. At least you earn some table respect making that call.

If he had made a normal turn bet and then shoved the river, I wouldn't have as much problem calling because I've seen that line with a hand like TT trying to get KK/QQ to fold. But the minibet then larger bet always seems to be A-rag+. For what it's worth, I check this flop with AK occasionally against non-thinking opponents because they will valuestack themselves with AQ or bluff off their stack with 88. |

this is a tough spot.
if it was just a 3bet pot i would be more inclined to call, as it's a 4bet pot i think it's a clear fold and i wouldn't think twice about it. edit: i don't think it's as clear a fold as i said before. anyone have any good thoughts on ace high boards with KK in a 4bet pot ? i think the queen helps his range a ton as well. |
