I'd be very surprised if part of bringing up Joba isn't trading either Farnsworth or Proctor. Hopefully Farnsworth. Trouble is, Joba is only going to get one relief appearance in (tomorrow) before the deadline.

WTF? Mariners are supposed to be interested too.

What's funny is, Joe will either play him way too much or not at all. It depends on whether he gets into Torre's inner circle of trusted relievers, like Proctor and Farnsworth. Otherwise his fate may lie similar to Edwar Ramirez.

My guess is that they won't deal Igawa because it's basically selling at his lowest possible value. There has to be a reason why we signed him, right? Even the worst projections for him weren't as bad as he's pitched.

Good to get the win today with Bosox and Cleveland both losing. 8 GB in division, 4 GB in wild card.

BTW, Jose Veras has been very good in six rehab innings so far and will probably pitch the ninth today in Scranton. The bullpen is going to look a lot different in a few days than it does right now.
