Calling utg's bet initally is good, but I don't think re-pops it here with anything you beat. Especially after utg shoves, insta-fold.

Either fold preflop or raise to isolate against UTG

Either fold preflop or raise to isolate against UTG [/ QUOTE ] I don't like the sound of playing a re-raised pot with an UTG raiser. What does he call here that we're ahead of? |

I was BB in this hand. I'll add my thoughts once others have responded, and yes, you have to fold the flop after that action (I would have in your shoes) .

Baintz that's funny because you might be the first player I've come across at the 25NL tables on Bodog where I thought 'this guy's gotta be a 2p2er'.
But the results of this hand really floored me. |

Re: 25NL - flop TPTK - lots of action in 3 way pot
Both me (BB) and UTG had AJ (mine was AdJd).
Here was my thinking on the hand. Like you, I thought UTG was nothing special, and I see so many people c-bet multiway at Bodog nearly 100% of the time whether they hit or not that he didn't necessarily have to have a strong hand here. I saw you as a decent TAG also, and figured you would 3 bet TT+ preflop, and would likely raise a set/2pair on that drawy flop with 2 others in the hand. I figured you called flop with hearts (I think you would raise with strong combo draw), OESD or a good Jack, or were floating UTG. I hate calling here as then I'm OOP 3-way and hearts, K/Q/9 are all scarecards. So my raise was to push you out (I figured you'd fold a lot of hands here) and either take it down now or get HU with UTG, where I possibly have the best hand, trapping the dead money. I normally don't play TPTK so fast, but felt that UTG folds enough or calls with a worse hand enough (if he's calling with AJ, he's probably calling with KJ) to make it OK. I tend to be a little reckless at Bodog NL25 though. I don't have PAHUD for it and there are so many players who felt top pair any kicker no matter the action that I went for it here and embraced the variance. Not sure if that makes it a good play though |
