3 hands I got stacked with on 20NL - help?
Playing at Sportsbook, 20NL 6 max game, pretty loose opponents. My own stats are 22/14/3.
What could/should I have done differently in each of these hands? Hand 1: (sorry can't use the hand converter - sportsbook not supported) I am the small blind w/ JJ, 4 limpers, I raise to $1.2, a short stack UTG goes all-in for $1.8, 2 more people call, I can't raise so I call too. Flop is 6s 6h 7s. I bet pot, 1 fold, villain calls. Turn 6s 6h 7s 7d. I bet pot (which puts me all-in), villain calls and shows QQ :-\ Hand 2: I am OTB w/ Qh Th, villain in MP calls, I raise to $1. SB calls, villain calls. Flop is Qd Jd 7s. Checked to me, I bet $2, SB calls, villain raises to $5, I call, SB calls. Turn is Qd Jd 7s 6d Villain bets $3, I go all-in for $16, SB folds, villain calls and shows Qc 7c. Hand 3: I am OTB w/ Jd Td. Villain raises in EP to $0.60, I re-raise to $1.60, he calls. Flop is Jc 9s 8s. Villain checks, I bet $2.80, villain raises to $6.40, I re-raise all-in $20, villain calls and shows Jh Js. |

Re: 3 hands I got stacked with on 20NL - help?
hand 1: raise to 2ish pf, rest is fine
hand 2: spew hand 3: need stats on villain. my guess is you're behind his range here regardless though |

Re: 3 hands I got stacked with on 20NL
I assume blinds are .1/.2. Stacks missing I will assume 100bb.
Hand one- Raise to ~$3 PF. No one is folding less than pot size raise. Postflop as played, either c/c or c/f turn unless you have a good read. Hand two- Fold to flop raise. At least don't shove turn. You can't put them on a FD every time. Hand three- 3-bet more PF, fold, or call. Flop is fine. |

Re: 3 hands I got stacked with on 20NL - help?
Hand 1 is Ok.. raise more pf. Standard is 4 BB plus 1 BB per limper, so $1.6. Why can't you reraise when UTG shoves? I would? You'd still get stacked by villians QQ if he smooth called, but it happens.
Hand 2: When your c/r on the flop your hand is almost certainly no good. You posted the results but if someone c/r me in this position I'd think 77 or QJ and fold. Shoving the turn is awful because your only beating a bluff and he folds a bluff when you shove. Hand 3: Unless villian is fairly loose in his EP raising standards I don't often 3 bet here, but in position I don;t think it's a bad play. Again when your c/r on this flop your top pairs no good. He isn't c/r against the pf 3 bettor without a hand that has you crushed, so fold. |

Re: 3 hands I got stacked with on 20NL
Thanks.
In hand 1 - you mean when I raised I should've raised to $2-3? (I couldn't re-raise after the UTG all-in - the game just didn't let me). |

Re: 3 hands I got stacked with on 20NL
in hand 1 a psr would be $1.4. you want to raise more than that because if one person calls the next will be getting great odds. $2 is ideal imo
edit: and as vixticator said your pf raise in hand 3 was too small. whether you raise/call/fold here is stat/read dependant. the action on the flop is also. i don't like the push unless you think he would c/mr with hands like AK or flush draws which doesn't seem likely |

(I couldn't re-raise after the UTG all-in - the game just didn't let me). [/ QUOTE ] Yeah I didn't realise this. It's because UTGs push is less than a minraise so you can't reraise, although I think some sites let you. |

Re: 3 hands I got stacked with on 20NL
Hand 1 is okay.
Hand 2: fold fold; turn raise was bad. Hand 3: fold pf; flop action is meh beacause I don't like your folding equity on this board. Vs a tight range of 88+,AsKs,KsQs you have 40.8 equity so (doing the math in my head real quick) you need Villain to fold to your shove 35% of the time to break even (this is going to be higher when the rake is included). I'd probably just fold; I don't think you have 35% fold equity here and I try not to do stuff like this w/o a read. |
