Default NL100 TP on river

I tried to float him off the pot on the turn. He called that so it is likely he has some kind of a pocket pair. With AF River 2 this is an easy call right?

I call on the river, but I'm only expecting to be good like 1/2 the time. I'm not totally sure what he has. I cant put him on too many flush draws that lead that flop except like 7h8h, but c/cing that turn makes no sense. It could be something like 88 or 99, but I'm not sure why he would put out a blocking bet on the river. It's not like it's going to stop you from betting a flush here. Doubtful it's a T. The more I walk through the hand, the more it doesn't make sense. If hands don't make sense to me, I normally lean towards calling.

I don't think he is calling a raise with anything you have beat, so this is definitely a call.

His line looks the most like 89 or 22 to me, neither of which are worth raising.

I would guess he has AA/KK, maybe a flush. Shoving is pretty swee if he's any good. But he's not bluffing here and he's not v-betting a worse hand.

I just don't see the point. There aren't enough profitable situations that arise from coldcalling QJs preflop. I know there are different styles but this seems like a pretty big potential leak.

Lol, mega-nit. It is sometimes at the very worst mildy bad unless you are a total spaz post-flop.
