Maybe just a really donk, anyway heres the Question.
Bubble in 6 Handed $10 Tourney, Stacks 500, 2400, 3100 I have the 2400 chips and im on the SB, Bigstack went 3 times all in now vs. the smallstack (once against a limp, twice against his bb), Bigstack is UTG and pushes again. I hold AKo.. Can i decide to play for the first place right now or is the chance of bubbling out to big vs the ev against his pushing range? How if we both had the same stacksize. I just considered this because in 6max getting 2nd isnt that much of a deal |

From what you tell about BB i think this is a good spot to call him and aim for first prize.

What are the blinds?

Well we don't know the blinds...but it still sounds like a fold to me. But, I never played 6max. It really is simply an ICM problem though.
Also, playing for first is usually just a justification for taking a -$EV gamble. Ie, a justification for losing money. Ie, a justification for playing badly. |

sorry i forgot to post the blinds, it was 50/100. But i think until the blinds are very large the small stack will almost never call
in a 6 handed $10 tourney seconds gets 18$ and first 42$ so i wanted to know if it differs if me and the big stack have same stack size. because the small stack is so small the winner of the flip would have a big advantage to get first in the tourney. |

Well, if you fold, you still have a very good chance of winning.
If you win the flip, you obv have a very good chance of winning, but it's not guaranteed. However, the one thing that is guaranteed is that if you lose the flip, you will win 0% of the time. |

50-100 blinds are high for a 500 stack..It would really depend on my read on the big-stack, but if i'm not SURE i have at least a 65% edge over him (this knowledge would come by knowing that he shoves just with absolute rags and likes to slowplay really big hands to get value from them, for example) i think i wouldn't call here...

Running the math, calling here is -6.2% $EV if big stack is shoving any two cards.
