How often do you bet this turn without the fd? This is a crappy board to 2nd barrel, the fd doesn't change things that much. A check will be +$10 EV so the 2nd barrel still rely on the fe to be more profitable than checking.

-0.74*28*x + 37(1 - x) = 10 -> x = 47%

This means villain needs to fold 53% of the time for 2nd barrelling to be more profitable than checking. This is not taking into account when villain crai and you have to fold or as in this case c/minraise and amplify the mistake of betting. If he folds 53% you obviously should bet the turn when you don't turn the fd too, betting $28 to win $37 53% is a great profit. The reason we don't bet without the fd is because our fe is really low (less than 25% I think) and thereby betting the turn with a fd is also incorrect. Many seem not to realise this.

Some might argue to bet the turn as a pot sweetener, personally I think that blows. Betting the turn and getting called will make villain fold Kx (weak kicker) some of the time making our implied odds 0 that time while he'll never fold any king if we check the turn and hit the flush.

So ip I def like a check here, oop I bet most often.

nick i like your math but i find tards peel these boards incredibly light OOP. not just pocket pairs, but Ax and other [censored]. we can't call a river bet with a better Ax, but we can win the pot now with a bet.

if he has a better hand here it's some random garbage two pair and he's freezing up because zomg you rivered aces up.

I think I just check river because based on the turn I'm not sure if one pair is any good so let's see a cheap showdown.

The great thing about semi-bluffing the turn there is that they price you in to hitting your flush where against a tag they'd just shove the turn and you'd have to fold.

The point with my post was to show that you should be less inclined to bet when you turn a fd. If you think betting the turn with AJo is profitable, well then betting with the fd is certainly an option. Personally I don't think 2nd-barreling on this board is good vs an unknown (with or without a fd). With a read I 3-barrel some of the time though.
