This maybe very simple, but I am unsure if I am making the right play. When making sizing my turn bets with hands that could turn into draws (sets on scary boards) and semi-bluffs, I make sure to price myself into calling a ck-shove. Here is an example. In general, is this a good idea or no? I have my reasons, but I wonder what others have to say.
PokerStars ($.25/.50) Seat 1: Dave2875 ($49.65 in chips) Seat 3: Syyhky ($74.25 in chips) Seat 4: B.H.Caesar ($30.95 in chips) Seat 5: Hero ($49 in chips) Seat 6: UHaveTooMuch ($98.20 in chips) Dave2875: posts small blind $0.25 Syyhky: posts big blind $0.50 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to Hero [Th Ts] B.H.Caesar: folds Hero: raises $1.50 to $2 UHaveTooMuch: folds Dave2875: folds Syyhky: calls $1.50 *** FLOP *** [Tc Jh 9h] (Pot $2.75) Syyhky: bets $3 Hero: raises $7 to $10 Syyhky: calls $7 *** TURN *** [Tc Jh 9h] [6h] (Pot $22.75) Syyhky: checks Hero: bets $15.50 Syyhky: raises $46.75 to $62.25 and is all-in Hero: calls $21.50 and is all-in *** RIVER *** [Tc Jh 9h 6h] [2d] Thanks, Dominick |

I always call this. There's a good chance you'll catch a pair. Is it a leak of mine?

The general consensus is that you never fold a set. Even though this is a horrible board I call against all but the most passive of players. Also, rivering a boat is a good plan. You should aim for that next time.

If he checks, it's pretty unlikely he has a flush.. I bet here always so he can't draw for free with like JxXh or whatever he may have. Please please please bet more on the turn though. Pot is 24ish, bet like 21 so it's easier to call a shove.
