So when's the next home game? It would be cool if you could post the dates and times on a lot of internet message forums so those of us who have read your story can drop by if we happen to be in the neighborhood.

Sweet [censored] that was the most poorly written piece of drivel i've ever read.

OP I think I hate you.

Did you proofread it and see the arrogance dripping off every word?

I do have one other question: Were you ever worried about what the judge was going to say and do? I know you mentioned it twice every paragraph but i'm still a bit uncertain.

'... love this country...' Lol.

Just wait until her father's buffalo gets sick and she needs money for the vet's bills.

I hope you realize that not everyone meets their girl friend at the bar jackass. You spent 3 years here and from your tone it sounds like most of that time was spent in nana plaza and other haunts.

Yes, in a perfect world you wouldn't be in situations that require bribing, but that is no fun now is it? I live a very tame life in Thailand and still have to grease a few palms a few times a year, thats just how it works here.

My tone indicates that I often frequented girlie bars? How strange...I hope this tone of mine hasn't pervaded into my business email communications, whatever will my clients think of me?

I lived in Bangkok for over a year and never had to bribe anyone, I also didn't visit Nana Plaza because, no matter how helpful and supportive she might be, my idea of a perfect woman doesn't include those that have stretch-marks on their mouths.

Koh Samui, Chiang Mai, Buriram, Khon Kaen...never paid bribes whilst living and working there either. Perhaps I was lucky, after learning the language I worked as a translator for some of my time there. This enabled me to avoid awkward situations by:

1) Endeavoring not to be in those situations.
2) Being able to effectively communicate with others if an awkward situation looked like arising.

I always saw bribes as being an effective "Stupidity Tax" for the unwary. If I'd realized that I could easily solve my problems with money then I'd have never bothered learning to speak Thai in the first place...or I'd have at least repeated myself, in English, using a LOUDER VOICE and vigorously waving my arms about until they understood what I was saying.

I guess that's how things work over there, for some people...
