Best password keeper program?
So I finally got scared enough to want one of these things, but there are like hundreds of them. Do any of them work with putting passwords in the poker sites, or will they just work with web sites?
What do you guys recommend? I guess I'm mainly looking at PasswordSafe and KeePass http://passwordsafe.sourceforge.net/ http://keepass.info/ |

Re: Best password keeper program?
It's not weak if you're smart and have a reasonable memory.
Example: Pick an odd choice of words and string them into a sentence. "LazyLegHairsGargleLemonade" Now, make it 'l33t'. "L4zyL3gH41rsG4rgl3L3m0n4d3" This is your password. Safe to say it's pretty complex, yes? Let's say your password is for poker stars. In your notebook, you write: [insert a doodle of a star]: LazyLegHairsGargleLemonade You're done at this point. Maybe lock it in a desk draw if you're ultra paranoid. Also after time you should be able to memorize all of your passwords too. Pros: - Works with any site/app. - You don't have your password on the computer. (encrypted or not) The only problem would be needing to carry your notebook on public transit (a train, etc). You could replace the notebook with MS paint images and store them on a flash drive. |

I've been using it for quite awhile and it's easy to use and very secure, as long as you pick a strong password for the database. I haven't tried the other one, so I can't comment on it. |

Re: Best password keeper program?
if you can't remember you passwords, why in the world would you want to put them in a database?
