I liked it, but still think it's somewhat overrated for a cult classic.

ED - best use of The Eagles in a movie ever.

[/ QUOTE ]

Actually it's the Glenn Frey solo version of the song, which is a lot better than the orig.

Joe Walsh sings "In The City".

Oh yeah. Duh. That. I think Glenn Frey Smuggler's Blues and the Miami Vice connection was bleeding into my drug-addled memory (yes I know that was never an Eagles song).

But it is Walsh's solo version. Which for a long time I believe only appeared on the Warriors soundtrack, although I would guess it's made it's way to some compilations by now.

Good book too. Richard Price FTW, especially his oldest stuff. Went from being an exceptional writer and one of the best dialogue men in written fiction to easily one of the best dialogue men in movies.

how could baseball-costumed ghoul gangs not be awesome? I mean, come on. PLUS rollerskating badasses AND lesbo psycho bitches packing heat?

What more could anyone want from a movie?

Yup. A Walter Hill special. Purest fun it's impossible not to love without sucking, and plenty of tension. Helluva ride.

All,

This movie was on at a bar last night. I was there with two friends, about 25 and 35 years old. Neither one of them knew what the movie was!

I couldn't believe neither one of them had seen one of the awesomest movies ever.
