If I were Satan, I would be laughing that God supports a system of belief in Him that makes it so easy for me to trick people

Right. All you have to do is write a series of books over a period of 5000 years, mention innumberable incidents in it none of which can be shown false, keep up a front of truth and reason, fool an entire nation for 2500 years, fool 1 billion people from all over the world for 2000 years, and withstand all attempts to show that your book is false.

[/ QUOTE ]

That pales in comparison to convincing Eve to eat the apple, IMO. So it should be no problem.

Heh, here carlo found a way to avoid making Satan a more compelling figure than God: Eve was not self-aware. She was a zombie---and how hard can it be to trick a zombie?

If I recall correctly Descartes made use of the human conception of goodness that NotReady is determined to deny has any validity.

but it was many years ago so please refresh me.

So you believe in the global flood and Noah's Ark? For real?

[/ QUOTE ]

Pretty sure it was local. Still working on it.

[/ QUOTE ]

LOL I hope this is a joke. The Bible makes it very clear that the entire face of the earth was covered with water and that every living creature was destroyed. Saying differently shows that you're willing to interpret the Bible in any way you see fit, regardless of what it actually says.

Also if it was a local flood, what would be the point of bringing all the animals on the ark?

It isn't that clear but like I said I'm working on it. It isn't a big priority and will probably be several months before I can begin to take a more firm position.

I would have more important things to do than meddle with Earthly affairs.
