And we'll be bluffing with air more often than we're value betting. Seems like we should bet 1/2 pot every time instead then, if they fold the same range. What am I missing here?

betting a little more close to potsize on flop DOES convey more strength IMO
I never bet full pot (on any street, unless it's an ai situation), but always around the 80-90% number on the flop, unless for some stupid reason the pot is really tiny (like in a blind battle situation) where I'll just full pot it on turn and river I bet A LOT less close to pot, bc bets on these streets have enough strenght in them on their own and bc I usually bet a lot, this saves me big mountains of monies
