Re: Favorite Reggae Artists
Steel Pulse is good. I also like Chaka Demus and Pliers (but they were an early 90's group).

Re: Favorite Reggae Artists
As someone who listens to more reggae than possibly anyone on 2+2, I have about 30 or 40 CD's I want to mention. But if you're going to buy one CD, you should probably get the best one:

So google now has a section where you can search for which reggae bands members of 2+2 like? Link please. LOL @ not being able to talk about what our favorite reggae bands are in a forum called other other topics. stick another tampon up there |

Re: Favorite Reggae Artists
Start with:
Toots and the Maytalls - one of the pioneers. Some of his newer stuff is actually really good, check "Toots, Boots, and Roots" with Bootsie Collins and the Roots. Jimmy Cliff - "Sitting Here is Limbo" is one of the greatest songs ever written IMO. Peter Tosh - original member/guitarist for the Wailers, taught Bob how to play (literally) Anything with Lee "Scratch" Perry on it. I have a two disc set of nothing but him dubbing Bob Marley songs. Awesome. |
