NL50: Overpair on the flop in a 3-bet pot PF
C/F this flop is too nitty. C/C really sucks I think. A bet only gets called or raised by a better hand most of the time, but may let me know I'm beat. So is bet/fold the best line here? What if I lead and get smooth called? Is there any merit to 4-betting (shoving or otherwise) preflop? I always have problems in these spots. According to my database, this is the only time I have played with villain, and this was one of our first hands.

Re: NL50: Overpair on the flop in a 3-bet pot PF
I would lead the flop, fold to a raise. If he smooth calls, lead most turns.
I don't think it matters whether your bet gets called/raised by a better hand only, I wouldn't mind taking the pot as it is. Check/fold is horrible, and check/call gives you no information on villains hand. |
