Default 25NL - Two Pair in BvB

I know I'm going to get flamed for my s***y play on this one. I am mentally prepared to be beaten down...

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 7 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $9.75 - <font color="blue">no reads - this is his second hand at the table</font>
Hero (BB): $25.35
UTG: $12.90
UTG+1: $38.15
MP: $29.05
CO: $33.95
BTN: $26.80

Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (7 Players)
5 folds, SB calls $0.15, Hero checks

Flop: ($0.50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
<font color="red">SB bets $0.25</font>, Hero calls $0.25

Turn: ($1) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
<font color="red">SB bets $0.75</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises to $1.50</font>, SB calls $0.75

River: ($4) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
<font color="red">SB bets $2.00</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises all-in to $23.35</font>, SB calls all-in for $5.75
Uncalled bet of $15.60 returned to Hero

Pot Size: $19.50 ($0.95 Rake)

River plays itself, but talk to me about the previous streets. I don't like the way I played it, but I'm not sure what the best way to keep him in the hand. I need to work more on maximizing wins. What is your thought process as this hand unfolds?

Raise flop.

As played, raise bigger on the turn.

Simple.

I'm a newbie too but FWIW. I'd raise PF, though I think thats controversial? He's just limped in i'd slap him for it, if he had anything good himself he'd raise so why not try and take his blind right away.

As played, you've hit exactly what you wanted and it's well disguised too. Have some fun and just raise it up more, you're in good shape I think. I might be making a mistake, but i'd be tempted to just see how much I could get away with raising before he folds, you might win a bundle with a random hand. Bonus!

Make it $2 to 2.50 on the turn, the min raise is just sick and gives away a strong hand from someone who doesn't know any better. You apparently aren't losing this donk on any bet, so yes, the river plays itself.
