I was showing some hands to a friend of mine and he said:

"You play all them well but this KK is a clear fold on river. Villain was certain you had a great hand and wouldnt fold, so he almost always have you beated, even with this pot odds a call is not profitable"

What do you think?

Thanks

Pot the flop. Bet more on the turn.

River is a call. FWIW, i don't think you are good. Make a note of what hand he does this with.

After getting donked on the turn, I don't see why you would call a river check/raise here.

Thanks for answering. Do you mean raise on turn?
I don't think my hand is ahead most of time, but often enough to be profitable with this pot odds.

And about raise on turn, I think a raise help hands like TT-JJ 9x and 8x to make a correct fold, and does not have much value cause we can't call a reraise. So imo call on turn is better.

Does anyone agree with my thoughts?

You can call the turn, planning to check/fold the river if you don't improve. After you raise preflop and get called, bet the flop and get called, and then get donked on the turn, the chances are very good that you're behind to two pair or a set. Remember that you're up against the BB. I would not raise the turn.

I don't know why you need to make a PSR on that flop. I would have just called the turn and checked the river. just under 4:1 on the river I think that's an easy call.

Should of dfinitely raised the turn, and reraised the river. Your hand looks very weak to villian.
As is, its a no brainer call, not even close to ever, ever, ever folding that the way the hand was played.
And If I was with your friend, id bet the pot that I was still ahead.
And if I lost, id ask to run it twice.

Yeah, putting in 6 to win 24, you need to be good only more than 1 out of 5 times. Should be doable. Easily.

The turn donk bet is a huge alarm. How can 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] improve his hand enough so that he will all of a sudden bet, but you would still be ahead? It seems either he was already ahead, or is now ahead with 2 pair.

At this level, people do some crazy stuff, so I don't mind calling it. But on the river when he checks to me, I probably just check behind. It seems like he is trying to play tricky so I just want a showdown at this point.
