$100 NL Bet sizing with middle set
I want to get paid off nicely but I don't want him to fold on me. Comments on bet sizing throughout this hand please. What sizing gives the highest expectation (chance of calling x bet size) given his range?
I've only seen him for 30 hands or something, but UTG+1 is 55/8/0.5 from my limited sample. I have $79.70 behind on the river and he covers. Re: $100 NL Bet sizing with middle set
I would raise to $5 pf to isolate since he's so loose. As played call. Rest of the hand looks ok although I don't see a call from him on the river as he was probably chasing the flush.

Re: $100 NL Bet sizing with middle set
I am fine with your pre flop play, I am raising more on the flop betting more on the turn like 30$ and this makes it easier to get it all in on river.

Re: $100 NL Bet sizing with middle set
I would put him on a missed flush here so I think he's folding to almost anything. Against a really bad player I will sometimes put in a very small bet, maybe around the turn bet of 25 or even sometimes like 20, and sometimes I'll get looked up by extremely weak hands.

Re: $100 NL Bet sizing with middle set
Raise PF. Bet more on the flop and on the turn.
As played, push. You only have 80 to go. Getting him to call will depend on his hand. If he has a missed flush draw, you aren't getting anyhing. If he has a K, he probably calls any bet. |

Re: $100 NL Bet sizing with middle set
Raise pre-flop the first time around.
You should raise the flop to about $14. By making a slightly larger flop bet, the bet sizes will grow exponentially on later street, allowing you to get all-in. As played, shove river anyway. |

Re: $100 NL Bet sizing with middle set
I'm in two minds about raising this pre-flop... I usually play 77 for set value rather than to win a small pot. There are 4 people left to act and if I get re-raised I can't profitably call for set value. Raising is certainly reasonable though.
Should definitely have bet a bit more on the flop. He called on the river with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (lol) |
