Yanks with a nice win yesterday. Going into the series I would have been happy with 3 of 4 from the Royals, and I think I still would be considering the matchups.
Tonight: Mussina v Meche Tomorrow: Igawa v De La Rosa I guess the Royals would be one of the offenses that would give Moose and Igawa a chance to shut them down. 7.5 back of Bosox. 4.5 back of Cleveland.

Also, Hughes with an oustanding rehab start. 6IP 7K 0BB 0ER.
I read before the start he was scheduled for one more afterwards, while Hughes was saying he may be ready after yesterday's start.

[/ QUOTE ] A week sounds fast, but I hope he's right. Things are going to get crowded when he's back. It'll be interesting to see how Torre divides up the ABs. Is Giambi going to play 1B or is one of the four outfielders going to sit every day?

red sox lost. now we gotta hang on. 6.5 games is great. the yanks have a suspended game which they are leading, and they have 6 games against the red sox left. in theory, we can catch up to them by sweeping those.
