Moneybookers Cheques
I am going to vegas in a month and I've been having a hard time depositing my cheques from moneybookers in canada, ie they are international and have been put on hold for 30 business days, they are USD cheques.
I was wondering if anyone knows if i could take one to vegas with me and cash it there somewhere, since it is drawn on a NYC bank it should be as good as cash or no? |

Re: Moneybookers Cheques
The banks in Nevada won't cash a check if your not a member of their specific branch. The casino's might take it but they will take a huge % off of it for the service. What site are you currently with? I used MoneyBookers for a while but then I decided it wasn't worth the problems when it came to cashing there checks. My bankroll is on UltimateBet and I only deal in check withdrawals and so far the check by courier option hasn't let me down and I have never really had an issue with cashing a UB check. Pokerstars is another story... I had a ton of trouble with those checks... to the point where my bank thought I made the check myself...lol...
Let me know if you can cash the check in Vegas... Doom |

Re: Moneybookers Cheques
I play on Boomerang mostly it's on the action network but any cheque I've requested takes my bank a long time because they have all been international, it's not he cheques themselves. The only cheque I've gotten that cleared right away was from neteller but it was drawn out of a Calgary bank. I was kind of hoping one of the casinos would cash one because at the rate my bank is moving I won't have any cash when i get to vegas lol. I thought since moneybookers was getting more popular for gambling that some of these casinos may have cashed these cheques before for someone here.

Re: Moneybookers Cheques
You're better off cashing out from moneybookers with bank wire transfers IMO.
Takes 2-4 business days and the money is in your account, no need to wait for things to "clear". Your bank will charge you $10-$15 to recieve a bank transfer though, along with the $2.5US fee from moneybookers. Depending on how much you cashout, the fees are reasonable. |
