I take the call line <5% of the time. I was curious as to whether or not people think it has any merit. In my experience, people who lead into a preflop raiser tend to have drawing hands on draw heavy boards. Sets tend to c/r here, and 2 pr hands are often c/c or c/r depending on aggresion factors. One of the most valuable notes I have is the one that indicates the player will lead a set into a pfr.

I do raise the flop the vasts majority of the time, but surely there are examples where we want to apply the "get most of the money in on the turn when your equity increases" line, even if this is not one of them.

I think calling has merit if you are playing deep in this situation as you have the bare ace - you have position and if you stack off against a wrap/flush draw you are doing exactly what the OOP player wants which is taking any difficult decisions on future streets out of his hands

if you have 200-300bb's and the [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] hits on the turn you can put alot of pressure on him to pass what may be the winning hand by not felting on the flop, and if a straight card hits and he pots it you can call knowing you have 10 boat outs and up to another 10 flush cards where you can probably get him off the hand on the river, as villan most probably puts you on an A flush draw

of course you might get called on the river when you try to bluff, but then you would have lost anyway if you had felted
