Default Bully on the Button

This hand is discussed on a dutch forum and the opinions of users were wide spread. So I am curious about the reactions of the users of 2+2.

Situation:
* MTT at Party $4k gtd
* Started with 1.200 players and 375 left
* Villain just came to the table and only played 5 hands
* Villain is overall chipleader with $ 42.000
* Villain has a sawflop% of 100%
* Villain pushed 2 hand pre-flop and 2 hands after the flop. None of these were called by his opponent (so he is the table bully)
* Villain is on the BB
* I have a stack of 7.000
* Blinds are at 200/400

I am on the button and I get A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] - J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Everyone folds towards me and because I am on the button I make a normal raise of 1.400. The SB folds.

Villain on the BB pushes all-in again.

What should I do in this situation?

I don't have PokerStove on this PC, but it looks like the pot is big enough to call with the big stack pushing a fairly wide range. You are getting 1.53:1 to call, so you would only need to have 40% equity to make calling correct.

Again, I don't have PokerStove on this PC, but I think AJo probably has greater than 40% equity against a range of 22+,A9s+,ATo+,KTs+,KJo+,QTs+,QJo

I call and absolutely love life. Id say AJ is almost always good here. Getting ur 7k in against a big stack loose player like this is what you want surely? He cpuld have a pair but a lot of the time ull be a decent favourite. I think this is an easy call.

I think this is more or less an auto call. You have AJ which is ahead of the average holding in the wide range he could be making this move with. You also are getting to a point in the tournament where you need to double up. If you run in to AQ-AK or JJ-AA so be it. Odds are that he doesn't have that and now is the time to get your chips in there and double up.

This is a really easy call.

I can't believe dutch players are advocating a fold, they are usually pretty crazy.

Well that was my opinion too. I thought I made a good call but when I posted the message some others said that I should have folded and not raise in the first place.

For me though it was a standard raise being on the button. And if you want to be in the money on MTT's you should risk such a coin flip.

Anyway....unfortuanately for me the BB showed QQ after being called. The Flop came AQK rainbow and I did not hit my T for the straight. But I think I played it well by calling knowing his stats and that my M would be under 10 if I had folded.

This is a trivially easy call. I even thought about flat-calling to induce a push from BB. But it was not necessary at all ...
