Trip Jacks against TAG on flushing board
B&M $2/5 $500 max NLHE. Table is loose-passive to LAG. Villain is TAG with about $1200, my image is LAG with about $600.
Two early limpers, I raise to $25 from MP1 with JsJc. One caller in LP, then from BB villain reraises to $75. I smooth call. Flop if Jd-4d-8d. Villain leads for $50, I smooth call. Turn is 3s, villain leads for $75. Best line here? |

Re: Trip Jacks against TAG on flushing board
You sure do like getting JJ dont you?
Been in this situation more times than I wouldve liked. Funny thing is that I havent seen too many people betting a made flush like this. Usually they have one ace or King of the same suit and are drawing or have top pair, 2 pair, or trips. Occasionally you see people with a low flush leading out like this, but you said he was a TAG so it's unlikely he was playing 5d6d or something similar. I think you're ahead here and if he isnt slow playing a big flush, you still have outs. Put in a raise. |

Re: Trip Jacks against TAG on flushing board
The sizing on those bets looks very suspicious to me...
Going into the flop there is about $200 in the pot, and he bets $50, followed by $75 into the $300 pot on the turn... those are sized like value bets. Personally with JJ I would have re-raised him on the flop to find out where I was... calling is cutting you off from possible information, if you can't get a read on the guy. |

Re: Trip Jacks against TAG on flushing board
call/evaluate river since you didn't raise Flop and you're getting nice odds.

Move to full ring forum please.
Raise flop to $200. As played, call again on the turn. |

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
Turns out he WAS betting a made flush (reraised me preflop with AdTd; I guess given my image I shouldn't have been surprised). Fourth jack hit on river. Oddly, he open pushed hi nut flush into the newly-paired board and I stacked him. |
