Default Top Pair

Villain is 57/2/.50 after 60

I raise after a fold and both late players fold. Only the BB calls. I have A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Flop comes 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Villain checks and we cap the flop.

Turn is T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and he bets out

me?u?

call down, the pot is big and he has a worse ace or some draw enough of the time

Based on villain's stats, I wouldn't 3bet the flop, I'd just call down unimproved. Looks like flopped 2 pair or set.

just calling down a flop c/r is too weak imo villains AF isn't even near converged and we have a strong hand.

Good point yourface, I may have been thinking results oriented since I wouldn't feel good getting capped in hero's spot

This is an easy calldown. I think its a bit more interesting if the turn/river brings an ace or queen. In that case, I think still calling down is the right play.

I dont think villain would cap w/ a set, most players try for a c/r on the turn. that means he probably has a big draw, 45h, or flopped 2 pr. either your behind or break even. Still from this point on, you lose too much if you fold. Call down and make notes so you have a better idea of his range for next time.

Good point, also villain's VPIP is 59%. and his AF is 0.59. This is more aggressive than one may initially think. He is seeing many many flops, and still bets 3/8ths of the time postflop. This is very frequent, considering he will flop nothing most of the time.

I like a calldown from the flop UI, but raising if an A/Q comes while only calling down if 3-bet.
