Tai Chi. Anyone practice, style, or discipline?
I took up Tai Chi about 7 months ago, something I had always wanted to do. Studying Yang style, the most popular. Completed 8 movement Yang, 24 movement and now working on 32 movement sword. Anyone else studying it or had studied it in the past. Thoughts, favorite style: Hao, Yang, Chen, Wu, etc. Proficiency level? Thanks

Re: Tai Chi. Anyone practice, style, or discipline?
I've practiced the Sun Tai Chi but at very low proficiency. It wasn't for me and I decided to get into more rigid forms of martial arts rather than free-form like Tai Chi.
I'm currently studying Jeet Kune do and Wing Chun. |

Re: Tai Chi. Anyone practice, style, or discipline?
Awesome on both of you. David, I took classical wing chun and a modified style by one of his first assistant instructors, James DeMile. Good luck finding a good teacher; they're not easy to get. A nice connection between the styles is the sticking hands and pushing hands, emphasizing control of the opponent. It's a ton of fun to train and makes you extremely precise and instinctual.

I took Yang form Tai Chi at the Wah Lum temple in Orlando, FL. I really enjoyed it and recommend it!
