Is 30k a month possible?
Could a solid player who 4-table 6max NL 5/10 average 30k a month? Of course there is variance and you need to continue to improve your game along with good table selection but is 30k a month on average possible? If not why?

Re: Is 30k a month possible?
We should probably hold off on too much sarcasm in the "Beginner" forum.
How many hours per month are you willing to play? If you're going to put in a 40-hour work week - say 175 hours/month to make the math simple - you'll need to make about $170/hour. That's about $42.50 per hour per table. That's averaging more than 4 bigbets per hour per table. I'm sure there are players out there who can do that at 6-max....but that seems like a pretty tall order to me. |

[ QUOTE ] If not why? [/ QUOTE ] Most likely reasons are (1) you are not good enough, (2) you don't have the discipline to put in the hours required , especially without tilting, and (3) you don't have the BR management needed and a bad run wipes you out. Regarding (1) most players aren't good enough, that's probably what stops 99% of people from doing this. |

If you're posting in the Beginners forum you shouldn't even be thinking about playing $1000NL.
