again im just trying to find texbook here. my instinct says bet fold to a cr, correct?

Yes, you need to bet to protect your hand against spades but you should play very carefully when you get called. Most of the time any raise should mean an instamuck unless you have a good read that your opponent minraises with two pair/flush draws.

I think pot flop and call a raise...see what developes on the turn...OTOH- there aren't many hands you are favored against that could raise that flop, I like pot/fold to a repot....IS THIS TO WEAK A LINE?

Yes, folding to a flop raise is standard as you are never in good shape or drawing great when you get raised.
